How to Make Pizza with Biscuit Dough
I rarely meet someone that doesn’t love a good homemade pizza recipe. If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to make homemade pizza, using biscuit dough is a game-changer! It’s perfect for busy weeknights or when you’re craving a flaky, buttery crust with minimal prep time. This is a quick and easy recipe to create delicious pizza with biscuit dough that everyone will love. Having a good pizza recipe is the key. In my home, we have pizza just about every Friday! It’s delicious and can be created to appeal to many different tastes. Whether your super healthy or a lover of cheese and meat there is something for everyone!

Homemade pizza is so fun to make! In my family we like to use biscuit dough to make our pizza, it’s delicious and easy. Having a great tasting dough is very important to the overall taste of your homemade pizza. My favorite dough is a little crispy with lots of flavors that combine with the overall toppings. Use as many or little toppings as you like, get creative. Combining contrasting flavors is my favorite.
Below are some of my favorite toppings to get your creative juices flowing! Before we get started below is a list of tasty toppings to get your taste buds going!
Sausage, Pineapples, Sliced meatballs
Mushrooms, Red Peppers, Yellow Peppers, Green Peppers
Olives, Bacon, Zucchini, Broccoli
Spinach, Prosciutto, Smoked Salmon
Broccoli, Caramelized onions, Sliced tomatoes
Kale, Jalapeños, Orange Slices

Items you will need:
- Pizza Spatula
- Olive oil
- Pizza Cutter/ Wheel
- Dried basil
- Spoon
- 2 Chefs Nonstick Bakeware 14-Inch Pizza Pan
- Garlic powder
- Medium-size bowl
- Basting Brush

2 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (e.g., Pillsbury Grands or similar)
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1 Jar of Classico Traditional Pizza Sauce
- 2 Cups of Mozzarella cheese
- Hormel Original Pepperoni Slices
- 1 pint ripe cherry tomatoes, halved
- 8 pitted kalamata olives, quartered lengthwise
- Garlic
- Mushrooms
- Red Peppers
- Onions
Pizza Directions
Step 1: Preheat Your Oven
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or as directed on the biscuit dough packaging.
Step 2: Prepare the Biscuit Crust
- Spray your 2 baking sheets with non- stick cooking spray
- Open your 2 cans of biscuit dough.
- Place your dough in a mixing bowl.
- Next knead the biscuit dough with your hands forming two equal -size balls.
- Using your fingers spread each ball of dough into separate circular baking sheets. Tip: Spray your fingers with nonstick cooking spray.
- Using a basting brush, brush the biscuit dough with olive oil.
- Sprinkle your pizza dough with garlic and dried basil.
Step 3: Pre-Bake the Crust
- Bake your crusts for only 3-5 minutes. Make sure to check to prevent crust edges from burning.
- Remove your pizza crusts from the oven to cool for 3-5 minutes.
Step 4: Add the Toppings
- Spread the Sauce:
- Once your crust has cooled spread pizza sauce evenly on each crust.
- Add Cheese and Toppings:
- Next sprinkle 1/2 cup or a little more of Mozzarella depending on taste on each pizza crust.
- Top your pizzas with red peppers, mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, tomatoes, olives and any other ingredients you would like to add or subtract.
Step 5: Bake the Pizza
- Put your pizzas back in the oven for 5-8 minutes or until the cheese melts.
- Next remove pizza from oven and let cool.
- After cooling slice pizza with pizza cutter. Serve and enjoy!
Tips for Success
- Customize Your Crust: For a thicker crust, layer two biscuits together before flattening them out.
- Pre-Cook Toppings: If using raw toppings like sausage or bacon, cook them beforehand to ensure they are fully cooked on your pizza.
- Experiment with Flavors: Try barbecue sauce or pesto instead of traditional pizza sauce for a creative twist.
- Mini Pizzas: For individual servings, use each biscuit as its own crust and customize the toppings to suit everyone’s taste.
