Hello Spring! I’ve missed you!
We are definitely ready for all the new spring fashion and outdoor activities warmer weather brings. It’s great to have dinner and some family time before night falls. This winter was super cold and we got more snow than we’ve gotten in a few years. On the upside it was great having the snow days off. At one point my kids were having a day off every week. This week has been pretty nice with the temperatures in the high to low 50’s we might even see 60’s toward the end of the week.
I started working out again last week after a 2 year break…lol! Seriously it’s been bitter sweet. I’m so glad I decided to carve a little time out for myself but it’s been a killer getting my energy back up to were it was. Plus I’m so impatient when it comes to working out, I just want to pick-up where I left off like it’s nothing. Which is not realistic at all, I’m working on that. Hopefully by May I will meet my weight loss goal. I will be posting my new workout regime soon! I’ve given up desserts for Lent, which is one of my weaknesses. So far I haven’t seen any weight loss due to that but on the upside when I have a craven it leads me to praying or reading the bible. So I’m very thankful for that.
All the new spring fashion looks and just having more energy has inspired my new workout regime. The days are getting longer, with more time for outside dinners and activities, I love it! I promised myself this year I’m going to use my deck more often. Last year we bought a new outside table set, that I should have used more often. But that’s ok, I’m going to make up for it this year. I keep telling my husband we need a gas grill so I can use it more easier without his assistance, but he keeps fighting me on it. Like most men he prefers a charcoal grill in which I understand why, there’s nothing like the taste and smell of food on a charcoal grill. You can smell a charcoal burger and hot dog a mile away, but I don’t want to go through the whole charcoal thing every time I want to cook on the grill. It’s so much easier just to grill on a gas grill and the taste is still good. And there are so many add-ons and seasonings to achieve the charcoal flavor without all the extra work. So my plan is to make it a gift for father’s day…hopefully I will catch one on amazon for a good price so I can do some grilling on my own.
So with more warm weather coming our way I took a look at some of the new dresses and jumpsuits that would be perfect for day to evening dressing and flattering to my ever changing figure. I love fabrics that flow over my curves instead of clinging to them, giving me a nice silhouette that I can manipulate with accessories. Dresses are my number one go to for the summer, whether casual or dressy. I do a lot of mixing day with evening pieces and day and evening combinations. Especially when it comes to shoes I love a super feminine maxi dress paired with my favorite puma or Adidas. The cuts and shaping of dresses and jumpsuits are very flattering with lots of different length and hemlines to choose from. Dresses and jumpsuits this season are very popular with a large variety of styles to appeal to the masses. It’s all in the details, with lots of feminine and romantic character used on necklines and sleeves that I love.
